what you do - the job

As a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) for Auxiliary Systems (valves and acutators) of Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, and Generators, you will be supporting your new employer growing Power Plant Project Business and be a part of the global Supply Chain network.

You are responsible to secure the best performing supply base in quality, reliability, and safety and work closely with Procurement and Engineering functions in a multicultural environment.

The suppliers in your scope are high-end producers of valves and actuators supplying for projects worldwide.

Topics like FAT, leakage class, fail-safe, hysteresis, LVDT, SIL, actuator response, fuel metering, choked flow, hydraulic cleanliness, 8D, FMEA, special processes, traceability should not trouble you.

what you bring

  • You have a degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering
  • Extensive experience in the field of supplier quality management, quality management, engineering or another related technical role i.e. design engineer
  • Your experience in valves and actuators makes you know what makes the difference in mastering design, manufacturing, testing and after-sales service — not just building parts
  • Experience in evaluation and approval of components, definition of requirements
  • You are familiar with ITP (inspection test plan)
  • Experience in Quality and/ or with auditing (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
  • Knowledge in the application of quality methods such as 5 Why, FMEA, 8D, RCA
  • Quality mindset, strong enough personality to decline the Release in a f2f meeting at supplier
  • You are confident to communicating in English
  • Willingness to travel (35%)
