About The Role
Recruiting at Valon isn’t support. It’s the engine.
Every hire we make compounds our ability to build the AI-native operating system that will run trillion-dollar regulated industries. That means the people who identify, engage, and coordinate exceptional talent aren’t peripheral to the mission — they help create the conditions for the mission to scale.
We’re looking for a Contract Recruiter focused on sourcing and university recruiting efforts across our technical teams. In this role, you’ll help build and maintain high-quality early-career and experienced-candidate pipelines, support university recruiting programs, coordinate candidate processes with speed and care, and ensure every touchpoint reflects the rigor and ambition of Valon.
This is a contract role for someone who is operationally excellent, highly organized, and energized by the details that make recruiting systems work: clean pipelines, thoughtful outreach, tight follow-up, well-run events, and a candidate experience that feels precise, human, and high-trust.
You’ll partner closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and cross-functional teams to help Valon identify and engage top talent through sourcing campaigns, career fairs, university events, candidate coordination, and recruiting operations.

What You’ll Do
Build and maintain high-quality candidate pipelines
Source technical talent across engineering, product, data, and early-career roles. You’ll identify strong prospects, conduct candidate research, draft personalized outreach, maintain organized pipelines, and ensure promising candidates are surfaced quickly to the recruiting team.
Support university recruiting programs
Help execute Valon’s university recruiting strategy across target schools and early-career channels. This may include preparing for career fairs, coordinating campus events, managing candidate follow-up, tracking student pipelines, and helping ensure every university touchpoint is polished, organized, and high-impact.
Coordinate career fairs and recruiting events
Own the details that make recruiting events successful: attendee tracking, candidate capture, resume review workflows, event materials, post-event follow-up, scheduling, and pipeline organization. You’ll help turn events into measurable recruiting outcomes, not one-off activities.
Deliver An Exceptional Candidate Experience
Keep candidates moving with urgency and care. You’ll coordinate interviews, manage communications, help prepare candidates for each step, and ensure no one is left waiting without context. Every interaction should feel thoughtful, timely, and high-trust.
Partner closely with recruiters and hiring teams
Work with recruiters and hiring managers to understand role requirements, sourcing priorities, event goals, and candidate profiles. You’ll help ensure pipelines are aligned with what teams actually need and that recruiting efforts are clearly communicated.
Use tools and AI to improve recruiting execution
Use AI and recruiting tools to increase the quality and speed of sourcing, candidate research, outreach personalization, event follow-up, pipeline tracking, and workflow automation. You should be curious, resourceful, and eager to find better ways to work.
Keep recruiting systems clean and actionable
Maintain accurate candidate records, pipeline stages, event tracking, outreach activity, and follow-up notes. You’ll help ensure the recruiting team has the data and visibility needed to make fast, informed decisions.
