Role Description The Senior Tax Manager is a full-time role responsible for providing tax and accounting review support, and complex tax engagements for high-net-worth individuals, families, and business clients. This role oversees preparation activities, tax planning, compliance, and ensuring accurate filings and adherence to current tax laws and regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing tax returns, identifying tax-saving opportunities, conducting technical tax research, some tax preparation services and answering client questions on strategic tax and financial decisions. This position requires proactive communication with clients and colleagues, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a collaborative, professional environment.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in Tax Planning and Tax Strategy, with the ability to design and implement tailored tax solutions for complex client situations.
  • Strong background in Tax Compliance and Tax Preparation, including reviewing and supervising individual, fiduciary, and business tax returns.
  • In-depth knowledge of Tax Law and regulatory frameworks, with experience interpreting and applying federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Solid understanding of general Tax principles and concepts, with the capacity to explain implications clearly to clients and team members.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required; advanced tax or financial credentials (e.g., MST, PFS, CFP) are highly beneficial.
  • Several years of progressive tax experience in public accounting.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex tax issues in clear, accessible language.
  • Experience in fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
  • Proficiency with tax preparation and research software, as well as standard office and collaboration tools.
  • High ethical standards, sound judgment, and commitment to client confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
