Role Description The Junior Interior Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles, CA. This team member will support the Principal and Senior Designer in sourcing, developing concepts, preparing presentations, and assisting with space planning and interior design solutions for residential and commercial projects. Daily responsibilities include sourcing, creating design presentations and mock ups, coordinating with vendors and fabricators, and maintaining project documentation. The Junior Interior Designer will contribute to site visits, measure and document spaces, and help ensure design intent is accurately executed during installation. Collaboration with the design team, clear communication with project stakeholders, and attention to detail are essential to success in this role. You must WORK HARD, BE KIND, AND HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR.

Qualifications

  • A great EYE and love for all things design.
  • Strong foundation and education in Interior Design, with the ability to translate concepts into functional layouts.
  • Understanding of Architecture and Construction Drawings, including familiarity with building systems and documentation standards.
  • Solid work experience.
  • Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) and Google Workspace.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong visual sense, material and color awareness, and ability to follow established design direction while contributing ideas.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, and high attention to detail in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and comfort working on-site, at vendor locations, and in client spaces.
