Installs / Qualification Dock Technician, L1
Position Classification: Full-time, Non-exempt
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Reporting Structure: Program Manager
The Install/Qualifications Dock Technician conducts ongoing inspections and enforces requirements for the temporary staging of semiconductor installation, conversion, and de‑installation parts and equipment—both OEM and third‑party—on shipping and receiving docks across campus.
Job Duties
- Enforce operational requirements for semiconductor parts and equipment staged on shipping and receiving docks across the client site.
- Conduct daily audits of materials staged for more than 72 hours on all designated docks.
- Maintain housekeeping of assigned docks, including moderate trash removal, equipment relocation, and coordinating removal of large or oversized items.
- Process and submit equipment and return requests for materials staged beyond 72 hours.
- Support compliance with the client’s “Tag & Drag” policy by logging, tagging, and documenting non‑compliant materials, including posting photos and required information for removal.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High School education or equivalent.
- Pallet jack and forklift experience desired but not required.
- Managing people experience desired but not required.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable working across both office-based and on-site technical environments.
- Proficient in the use of laptops, mobile devices and everyday business technology.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to completing tasks.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Previous experience in logistics, shipping and receiving is advantageous but not essential.
- Previous experience working within a semiconductor manufacturing environment is beneficial but not required.
Job duties are often performed on or near both standard shipping and receiving areas and cleanroom passthrough areas, both natural light or artificial lighting, moderate to loud noise levels or in an office environment. Concrete floors, lots of machinery, and a lot of movement. Manual dexterity and physical ability to lift/carry objects. Require the use of Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with or near dangerous element or conditions such as equipment, chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc. Partial or full gowning is required at times. Limited weekends, overtime, may be necessary depending on business needs.
Employee must be physically capable to wear a clean room ‘bunny’ suit as required. May sit, walk or stand for 6-8 hours, routinely walk up to 20k steps in safety shoes in a shift, bend, kneel, hear, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb a ladder throughout the day. Must be able to physically lift and/or move items up to 35 lbs. Hearing is required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
