Lead MuleSoft Developer

What you'll be doing

  • Design, develop, and maintain APIs using an API-led connectivity approach across System, Process, and Experience layers.
  • Implement complex integration patterns, including event-driven architectures, batch processing, streaming, orchestration, and synchronous/asynchronous messaging.
  • Lead development activities across integration projects, ensuring high engineering standards and adherence to established development frameworks and best practices.
  • Review and contribute to solution designs, API specifications (RAML/OpenAPI), and integration design documentation.
  • Develop high-quality DataWeave transformations, reusable components, templates, and shared integration assets.
  • Implement robust observability through effective logging, monitoring, alerting, and error-handling strategies.
  • Support solution deployment using CI/CD pipelines, Git branching strategies, and automated testing practices.
  • Develop comprehensive MUnit test suites, targeting a minimum of 80% code coverage.
  • Provide approximately 10–20% business-as-usual (BAU) support, including incident resolution, root cause analysis, and platform troubleshooting.
  • Mentor developers, perform code reviews, and promote engineering excellence across delivery teams.
  • Contribute to integration standards, reusable frameworks, technical playbooks, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What we're looking for

  • Extensive experience developing integration solutions using MuleSoft.
  • MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 1 (required); Level 2 certification is desirable.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Mule 4, DataWeave 2.0, and the Anypoint Platform.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise-scale integration solutions across multiple systems and platforms.
  • Experience integrating technologies such as Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, AWS and/or Azure, relational databases, and legacy applications.
  • Solid understanding of API security, including OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS/SSL/TLS, API policies, and security best practices.
  • Familiarity with Runtime Fabric, CloudHub 2.0, and hybrid integration architectures is advantageous.
  • Experience contributing to solution design, implementing complex integration patterns, mentoring team members, and ensuring solutions align with governance, security, and engineering best practices.
