Role Title: Physics Professor/Researcher (PhD)

micro1 is engaging Physics Professors and Researchers (PhD) to support a customer's innovative project at the intersection of physics, research, and education. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.

Scope of Work

  • Develop and review physics problems, solutions, and explanatory content across a broad range of sub-disciplines.
  • Analyze and evaluate model outputs for scientific validity, clarity, and educational value.
  • Contribute high-level feedback on complex research topics and theoretical concepts.
  • Assess and refine AI-generated explanations for accuracy and pedagogical effectiveness.
  • Collaborate remotely with project leads and fellow experts to standardize best practices in content review.
  • Produce clear, concise written feedback and participate in asynchronous discussions regarding project advancements.
  • Leverage your teaching and research experience to ensure authenticity and rigor in all deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in Physics (or currently pursuing a PhD in Physics with advanced research and teaching experience).
  • Demonstrated expertise in both theoretical and applied physics domains.
  • Strong track record of teaching, curriculum development, or mentoring in academic settings.
  • Experience publishing and critically reviewing scientific research.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with a keen eye for detail and clarity.
  • Prior involvement with interdisciplinary projects or educational technology initiatives is a plus.
  • Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a remote, asynchronous environment.
