Fully-remote form Germany (occasional travel to other locations within Germany)

Working Hours: Full-time

Contract: Initially limited until December 2026 (planned to be transferred to a newly

founded government-funded company with permanent contracts)

Our mission: to build secure, privacy-first, and trustworthy digital public infrastructure. We want to hire an IT Operations Coordinator (m/f/d) for our IT Operation Department.

YOUR ROLE

You enjoy ensuring that an IT infrastructure is well-structured, well-organised and properly documented. It’s important for you to understand and get to the bottom of things from a technical point of view as well. Your understanding of IT project management and IT purchasing knowledge enables you to assess quotations from both a technical and budgetary perspective. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate our IT-application and -service lifecycle
  • Control IT purchasing (hardware, software, services)
  • Manage access rights control and account management
  • Implementation support of the IT access process
  • Monitoring of our IT approval process
  • Invoice verification, including Tender invoices
  • Budget calculations and reporting to Head of IT OPS
  • Regular ticket reviews to identify inadequately defined tasks, undocumented progress
  • Support to SPRIND Legal in relation to our procurement activities (completing GDPR and Data Processing Agreement (AVV) checklists)

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or equivalent practical
  • experience
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in a similar position
  • Substantiated experience in IT project management
  • Knowledge and understanding of IT purchasing
  • Solid experience in the provision and operation of UNIX/Linux systems
  • Good knowledge of the provision and configuration of automation and monitoring
  • solutions
  • Basic knowledge of storage administration for local and central storage systems
  • Fluent in English and German (spoken and written)
