Company Description Solano Surf Soccer Club is a youth soccer organization serving players and families in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Coach role based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Coach will lead training sessions, manage match-day activities, and provide constructive feedback to players to support their technical, tactical, physical, and mental development. Responsibilities include planning age-appropriate practices, teaching fundamental skills, fostering teamwork and sportsmanship, and ensuring player safety and adherence to club standards. The Coach will also communicate regularly with parents/guardians, coordinate with other coaches and club staff, and assist with player evaluations and team selection as needed. Evening and weekend availability is expected to accommodate training schedules, games, and tournaments.

Qualifications

  • Coaching and player development skills, including planning structured training sessions and providing clear, constructive instruction.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with players, families, and club staff in a supportive manner.
  • Organizational and time-management abilities to balance multiple teams, schedules, and administrative tasks.
  • Knowledge of soccer fundamentals, game tactics, and age-appropriate training methods.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive, safe, and respectful environment for players of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Prior experience coaching youth sports or playing competitive soccer is highly beneficial.
  • Coaching licenses or certifications (e.g., USSF, United Soccer Coaches) are preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work on-site in the San Francisco Bay Area, including evenings and weekends.
