Responsibilities:
Drive and Shape the Business
- Responsibility for sustainable Retail-KPI and net sales growth inline / above target (budgets)
- Development and implementation of local Own Retail strategies and directions aligned with VG and global Own Retail strategy/guidelines
- Management of Own Retail stores based on Retail arithmetic and continuous improvement of KPIs
- Ownership for continuous improvement (standards, processes etc.) on a regularly basis according to defined standards and global guidelines, implement best practices
- Responsibility for store designs and layouts of Own Retail stores according to global OR guidelines
- Assessment of Own Retail locations and review of store network based on Own Retail location criteria
- Implementation of activation modules distributed by GTZ/SOR
- Support of event activities to maximize the outputs from consumer and retailer events
- Accountability for implementation and maintenance of excellent operational standards in stores based on global guidelines
- Collaboration with the local Marketing Departments, Commercial Directors in VG and other functions
- Responsibility for regular input to Management, incl. monitor for KPIs and budget (input, follow up and correction to deliver targets)
- Participation at local S&OP / demand planning as well as VG’s budgeting & forecasting processes
- Definition of yearly activation & promotional plan w/ OR Activation Manager and local Brand Activation Manager (in line with local brand plan and central guidelines)
Shape and run the organization
- Organizational development and leading teams inline with Miele leading principles, set up Own Retail sales talent pipeline
Stewardship and International Collaboration
- Interaction with Own Retail International (GTZ/SOR) and participation in international working teams
- Implementation of Miele standards and Compliance Management within VG.
Competencies/Skills for position:
- University degree or equivalent in BA/Marketing or Sales
- 5 + years business experience in Own Retail in a leading premium brand company
- High business acumen & commercial, consumer-first mindset
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills with entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- Team player who amplifies and empowers team and colleagues and have an impact on them, helping skill up others
- Strong ability to collaborate and influence across VG with different levels and departments, internally and externally
- Performance / results driven attitude, open to change and act as advocate for the ‘new’, creative and collaborative mindset
- Well organized, agile and flexible in combining work & travel duties
- Excellent written and oral communication in English
