Junior Marketing & Events Coordinator

NeuroLeadership Institute

New York City Metropolitan Area

Description

About the Role

We're a small, remote-first organisation with a busy global events calendar and an even bigger commitment to delivering exceptional experiences. We're looking for a Junior Marketing Coordinator based in New York City to support our events programme and on-site event delivery.

This role is perfect for someone who loves the details, thrives in a fast-paced virtual-first environment, and enjoys variety. One afternoon, you might be setting up webinar registrations, negotiating with event vendors, proofreading marketing copy, or coordinating logistics for an upcoming event. You’ll be the connective tissue that keeps our events running smoothly and our marketing moving forward — and you’ll do it with a team that genuinely supports your growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan, set up, and run virtual events from end to end using Zoom Webinars and Zoom Events
  • Support in-person and hybrid events: venue coordination, vendor management, on-site team briefing, and day-of execution
  • Source vendors, gather quotes, and negotiate pricing within a lean budget
  • Coordinate across global time zones with team members, speakers, and external partners
  • Edit marketing copy for grammar, clarity, and brand voice; write event communications and light marketing content
  • Manage projects and deadlines in tools like Asana, Monday.com, or Notion
  • Track event budgets and reconcile expenses post-event

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–2 years of experience in marketing coordination, event support, or a similar administrative/operations role
  • Hands-on experience with Zoom Webinars and/or Zoom Events (a genuine plus — not just “Zoom meetings”)
  • Strong written communication skills with an eye for grammar, clarity, and detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines without dropping the ball
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote-first environment with minimal supervision
  • A collaborative, positive attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever needed

Nice to Have

  • Experience with project management tools (Asana, Monday.com, Notion, Trello, or similar)
  • Background in virtual event production or webinar hosting
  • Experience working with international teams or across multiple time zones
  • Exposure to email marketing platforms (HubSpot, Mailchimp, or equivalent)
  • Basic familiarity with design tools such as Canva or Adobe Express
