One of the world's leading names in naval defence and secure communications is building its DevOps capability in Kiel — supporting the software platforms behind German naval operations. You will join at the ground level, with genuine technical ownership over virtualisation, containerisation and CI/CD automation across complex maritime systems. If you want to build something that matters rather than maintain what already exists, this is worth reading.
THE ROLE
• Join a 4-person DevOps Squad supporting IT platform development for maritime applications
• Plan, implement and operate virtualisation and container solutions
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines for software build and deployment automation
• Integrate DevOps practices across multiple development teams
• Develop reusable templates and components in line with established best practices
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
• Proven experience implementing and evaluating DevOps strategies
• Hands-on experience integrating DevOps methods into the software development lifecycle
• Practical experience building and optimising CI/CD pipelines
• Container technology skills (Docker, Kubernetes or equivalent)
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Good German and English — both mandatory
