What you do as a graphic designer

As a graphic designer, you produce clear, accurate, and consistent visual materials for Haskoning. This visual materials such as the following: proposals, brochures, presentations, reports, capability statements, case studies, and templates. Haskoning’s work involves complex engineering, advisory, and technical content. A central part of the role is to translate written and technical information into well-structured, readable, and professional visual materials that are clear for clients, evaluators, and internal reviewers. The role also ensures that Haskoning’s brand is applied consistently across documents and that teams have access to practical, reusable design templates, and assets.

Your specific responsibilities are the following:

Design and Production

  • design and lay out a range of materials, including proposals, tender documents, brochures, capability statements, presentations, reports, and case studies
  • convert technical and complex content into clear infographics, diagrams, maps, timelines, and visual summaries
  • produce consistent layouts, covers, icons, graphics, and visual elements across documents
  • improve the readability and structure of proposal and tender materials
  • prepare files for print and digital use, ensuring correct sizing, formatting, resolution, and output quality
  • manage several pieces of work at the same time and adjust to changing content, priorities, and deadlines
  • support major pursuits and strategic tenders with high-quality visual and document design input

Brand and Templates

  • apply the Haskoning brand consistently across all materials, including fonts, colors, logos, imagery, and document style
  • build, improve, and maintain templates and reusable assets to help colleagues produce consistent and professional documents efficiently
  • support the development of proposal and presentation templates for global use
  • organise and maintain a library of images, graphics, icons, and design assets, with attention to usage rights and reuse
  • review and improve templates and design standards over time, based on business needs and feedback from users

Collaboration and Support

  • work with the Global Tender Desk and marketing team to understand the requirements of each piece of work
  • advise colleagues on layout, imagery, visual hierarchy, and document presentation
  • provide examples, guidance, and practical support to improve document quality and consistency across teams
  • support colleagues working across different countries, cultures, and time zones

Our Philippine office consists of colleagues based in our main office Makati and across project sites. As a team, we excel in a wide variety of services and have a significant and growing portfolio of opportunities in the fields of climate resilience (river basin management, flood mapping, coastal protection, drainage, climate adaptation), maritime (land reclamation, dredging, ports, harbours, and jetties) and renewables (offshore wind and solar). Our clients range from government bodies, development institutions (World Bank, ADB, etc.) to private developers. We provide them with a range of services throughout the various phases of a project: from inception, through master planning, feasibility, design all the way to construction management. Our projects are in the Philippines, but we also provide support within the APAC region and globally.

The new graphic designer will become part of the Global Tender Desk and Major Pursuits Team (Waer and Maritime). Our Global Tender Desk is a growing team of around 20 bid professionals embedded across continents, supporting a portfolio of major international infrastructure pursuits. We combine deep technical expertise with structure bid management practices, offer plenty of room to grow and learn from experienced colleagues across regions, and give you the chance to develop your skills on high-profile international projects. You will serve the whole global Tender Desk of Haskoning (UK, NL, Middle East, and Peru), but you will be located in the Philippines (Makati). What you bring

Skills, Experience, and Attributes:

  • bachelor’s degree or a qualification, or equivalent practical experience, in graphic design, visual communication, or other related fields
  • around 5 years or more of relevant experience
  • strong portfolio covering document design, layout, presentations, and infographics, preferably in a professional services, engineering, consultancy, or corporate environment
  • proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, Canva and Photoshop
  • advanced PowerPoint and Word skills
  • strong attention to detail in layout, typography, formatting, and visual consistency
  • a good understanding of brand standards and how to apply them across different types of documents
  • the ability to work to deadlines, manage competing priorities, and remain steady under pressure
  • good English verbal and written skills
  • the ability to work effectively with colleagues across cultures, countries, and time zones
  • a collaborative, practical, flexible, and reliable approach
  • an interest in improving the quality, consistency, and visual impact of tender and marketing materials
