Role Description This part-time, on-site High School Mathematics Teacher role is based in Rowland Heights, CA. The teacher will deliver engaging math instruction to high school students, focusing on key areas such as algebra and foundational mathematics concepts. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and implementing lessons aligned with curriculum goals, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The teacher will manage the classroom environment, support diverse learning needs, and communicate regularly with students, families, and staff regarding academic performance and expectations. Additional duties may include preparing instructional materials, participating in staff meetings, and contributing to program development as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong subject-matter expertise in Mathematics, including Algebra and related high school-level topics.
  • Demonstrated ability in Lesson Planning to design clear, structured, and engaging instructional activities.
  • Effective Communication skills for interacting with students, families, and colleagues in a professional and collaborative manner.
  • Experience teaching or tutoring Middle School or High School students, with the ability to adapt to different learning styles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; teaching credential or relevant certification preferred.
  • Classroom management skills and a commitment to creating an inclusive, respectful, and supportive learning environment.
  • Ability to use educational technology and learning resources to enhance instruction.
  • Prior experience in after-school, enrichment, or supplemental education programs is a plus.
