  • Manage the forecasting of assigned product categories, including analyzing historical sales, researching demand drivers, preparing forecast data, and developing statistical forecast models.
  • Work closely with customer facing functions to;
  • Align operational forecast with sales, financial, marketing, and product life cycle plans
  • Understand drivers of demand
  • Facilitate and manage demand reviews for assigned Categories within the Sales, Inventory, & Operations Planning process
  • Support Product Lifecycle activities by leading supply chain portions of NPI (ramp-up & phase-out forecasts, transition inventory, project management)
  • Use, manage, and maintain Demand Planning systems and software as the primary forecasting workspace
  • Work tirelessly to develop and refine processes to maximize forecast accuracy and customer service
  • Serve as subject matter expert for forecasting and demand planning best practices
  • Coordinate and communicate demand plans to Supply organization to balance service, inventory, and capacity levels
  • Develop, maintain, and report on KPIs such as forecast accuracy, service & inventory performance
  • Participate actively in continuous improvement and Lean activities.
  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset that promotes communication, shared learning, intelligent risk-taking, creative problem solving, and accountability for failures and successes.
  • Work with Supply Management to develop initiatives to achieve KPI goals.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors’ degree in business, engineering, materials management and 5 years’ experience in the areas of master production planning, procurement or supply chain management.
  • Minimum 5 year in a demand planning role with preference given for leadership and/or technical expertise
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, as the employee will collaborate and interact with all levels of management, and various functions at all sites.
  • Previous experience in forecasting software (SAP IBP preferred), SAP/ERP, and PLM software strongly preferred.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft with advanced Excel required (pivot tables, nested IF formulas, large datasets, external references)

  • Excellence in analytical fact-based problem solving; business level ability in statistics.
  • Skilled at effective communications at both technical and leadership levels; English is required for 90% of interactions.
  • Skill to implement plans aligned with department goals.
  • Ability to use personal computers and enterprise software as well as evaluate, recommend, and use group-specific software tools.
  • Skill in conflict resolution, including the ability to address difference of opinions or facts and use the most appropriate method to reach an effective solution.
  • Project management skills enabling the employee to:
