We're looking for an experienced and passionate Community Fundraising Manager to lead and grow one of the most exciting fundraising portfolios in our organisation.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising & Marketing, you'll be responsible for leading Ronald McDonald House Sydney's Community Fundraising and Peer-to-Peer fundraising portfolio.

You'll develop strategies to grow participation, strengthen supporter engagement and increase fundraising revenue across a diverse range of campaigns and community fundraising initiatives.

You'll also lead and mentor our Community Fundraising & Events Coordinator while working collaboratively with our Events Lead, Partnerships Team and Marketing & Communications team.

This is an 18-month contract, providing maternity leave cover while supporting an exciting period of growth across our fundraising program.

Your Responsibilities

You'll lead the strategy, growth and delivery of:

  • Walk Me Home (fundraising program)
  • PAWS for Sick Kids
  • SWIM for Sick Kids
  • Bookworms
  • Community Fundraising
  • Workplace Fundraising
  • School Fundraising
  • Sydney Marathon
  • City2Surf
  • Grassroots fundraising initiatives

You'll also:

  • Develop innovative community fundraising campaigns and initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with schools, workplaces, community groups and individual fundraisers
  • Develop supporter journeys that encourage participation, retention and long-term engagement
  • Work closely with our Partnerships Team to identify sponsorship and prize opportunities
  • Grow fundraising opportunities across the Eastern Suburbs and Wollongong communities, working alongside our Family Room Coordinators to support local fundraising initiatives
  • Attend community events, networking opportunities and fundraising activities
  • Recognise and steward our highest-performing community fundraisers through meaningful engagement and House experiences
  • Analyse campaign performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  • At least 4–5 years' experience in community fundraising, peer-to-peer fundraising or fundraising campaigns
  • Demonstrated success growing fundraising income and supporter participation
  • Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience developing and implementing fundraising strategies
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • A collaborative leadership style with experience supporting or managing team members
  • A passion for innovation and creating memorable supporter experiences

Experience in the not-for-profit sector is highly regarded but not essential.
