About the role:
We are seeking a passionate Product Technologist to support the development, quality, and compliance of our skincare, beauty, and personal care product portfolio across international markets including the UK, Europe, and the US. We are looking for someone with a technical background who enjoys working cross-functionally with product development, suppliers, laboratories, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure products meet the highest quality and compliance standards.
What you'll be doing:
- Support product development and delivery for international markets, including UK, EU, US, etc.
- Ensure all skincare, beauty cosmetics, and personal care products meet all technical and brands requirements.
- Review product samples, packaging artworks, laboratory test reports, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure compliance and product readiness.
- Monitor production and shipment quality and manage quality issues
- Participate in product risk assessment, communicate with key stakeholders on any quality risk/issue
- Work with third party labs and suppliers to collate product information files; maintain technical documentation to be up-to-date and accurate.
- Manage post-launch compliance and consumer feedback, carry out investigations in product quality or performance to implement product improvements
What you'll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific related field, or applied science with relevant experience.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in product development, formulation, laboratory testing, quality assurance, quality control, or technical services within the beauty, personal care, or consumer goods industry.
- Fresh graduates with strong academic credentials, internship experience, and a passion for skincare and beauty products are also encouraged to apply.
- Passion for skincare, beauty, cosmetics, and personal care products.
- Experience in technical areas i.e., product /formulation development, laboratory testing or quality control/quality assurance.
- Experience managing projects and coordinating multiple stakeholders and timelines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external teams.
- Strong organizational, planning detailed minded and a good team player.
- Previous exposure to product development and appreciation of technical standard and regulatory requirement in beauty, skincare, color cosmetics items
- Good command of spoken & written English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
It would be great if you also have:
- Sourcing office experience is preferred
- Knowledge of quality assurance, technical standards
- Knowledge of European/US regulation on beauty, skincare, color cosmetics
- Ability to analyze issues and propose solutions
- Good communication and influencing skills
- Able to do occasional travel within Asia
