About Blue Polaris

Blue Polaris is a US-headquartered company operating across multiple countries including the USA, Peru, Panama, Canada, and India. We work across international markets and our finance team supports multi-entity operations on a daily basis. We are a lean, fast-moving team and we value people who take ownership, work independently, and get things done.

The Role

We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Accountant to join our Peru operations. This is a hands-on role — you will be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping, transaction management, reconciliations, and financial reporting. You will work closely with our Finance Manager and broader finance team.

The right person for this role does not need to have every qualification on paper — but they need to be reliable, accurate, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. If you are someone who takes pride in clean books and getting things done right, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and maintain financial transactions using double-entry bookkeeping principles.
  • Enter, categorize, and reconcile financial transactions in QuickBooks and Zoho Books.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
  • Use Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data, prepare schedules, and support accounting processes.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining accrual-basis and cash-basis income statements and other financial reports.
  • Ensure financial records comply with applicable international accounting standards and company policies.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Work closely with management to continuously improve accounting processes.

What We Are Looking For

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and international accounting principles.
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks (minimum 2 years).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including formulas, pivot tables, and financial data organisation.
  • Experience performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Ability to prepare financial statements and categorize transactions accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and organisational ability.
  • Ability to conduct business conversations in English (calls, emails, meetings).
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Zoho Books.
  • CPA or equivalent professional accounting certification.
  • Experience working with international or US-based clients or companies.
  • Familiarity with accrual-basis reporting and multi-entity accounting.
