Role Description
- This is a full-time, on-site PLC Programmer role based in Debrecen.
- The PLC Programmer is responsible for developing, configuring, and maintaining PLC programs for automated production and assembly lines, ensuring stable and efficient operation.
- Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting control systems, optimizing machine performance, and supporting commissioning and changeovers for new or modified equipment.
- The role involves collaborating with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to implement automation solutions, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- The PLC Programmer will also prepare technical documentation, maintain backups of control software, and provide training and guidance on PLC-related topics to relevant staff.
Qualifications
- Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting skills (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or comparable PLC platforms), with experience in automated manufacturing or assembly environments.
- Knowledge of industrial control systems, including HMIs, SCADA, fieldbus communication (e.g., PROFIBUS/PROFINET), and sensor/actuator integration.
- Understanding of electrical and control schematics, safety circuits, and basic industrial robotics or motion control principles.
- Experience with commissioning, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement of production equipment and processes.
- Relevant technical education in electrical engineering, mechatronics, automation engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work on-site in Debrecen, collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly in English; local language skills are an advantage.
- Familiarity with automotive industry standards, JIT/JIS operations, and quality management systems is considered a plus.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment, with a focus on safety, reliability, and continuous learning.
