About The Role

School of Extended Education

Adjunct Faculty- Dual Credit Facilitator

Position Overview

UMass Global partners with high schools to provide dual credit courses, where the students receive both high school and college credit. The School of Extended Education is seeking qualified facilitators to work with the students and provide information as needed but will not serve in any instructional or grading capacity. This position is specifically for Paraclete High School in Lancaster, Calif. and the facilitator must be on-site with the students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitator will monitor student progress and work closely with the course instructor to help the students stay on track throughout the session.
  • Facilitator shall maintain communication with the course instructor, high school, and UMass Global’s School of Extended Education as appropriate for program and student success.
  • Facilitator will refer any course content related questions back to the course instructor.
  • Facilitator will attend the weekly synchronous class sessions with the course instructor and students.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with Dual Credit Programs and working with high school students.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Work Environment

A remote adjunct work environment is a flexible, virtual setting where instructors deliver course content, engage with students, and fulfill academic responsibilities from a remote location. This environment typically relies on digital communication tools, learning management systems (LMS), and virtual collaboration platforms to facilitate teaching and interaction.

Compensation

  • $25.00 per hour (Typically 12 hours per course)

Offers are determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to; geographical location, knowledge, skills, and experience.
