About the Role
Drive business development across Ethiopia, identifying lucrative opportunities in the steel sector, with focus on HRC, CRC, GI, PPGI etc.
Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle—from prospecting and technical consultation through contract negotiation, closing, and long-term account management.
- Analyze Ethiopian market dynamics, import regulations, competitor positioning, and regional demand patterns to develop localized sales strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance) to navigate Ethiopian customs processes and ensure seamless order fulfillment.
- Cultivate strategic partnerships with existing clients while aggressively expanding market share to exceed ambitious sales targets.
- Represent the company at major Ethiopian trade events and industry associations to enhance brand visibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
- English can be used as working language.
- 3+ years of steel international trading experience, with proven track record in steel import/export operations.
- Exceptional negotiation abilities, strong commercial acumen, and established network within Ethiopian steel industry.
- Self-starter with resilience to work independently; comfortable with frequent travel and occasional regional trips.
