About Your Business Area/Department

Ensure integrity, accuracy, and completeness of all billing and incentives-related activities within Amadeus.

Responsible not only for executing billing processes but also for validating calculations, supporting financial accuracy, and safeguarding compliance with accounting standards.

Summary of the role

  • Define, review and validate requirements for billing.
  • Ensure proper billing set-up. Handle complex and manual billing processes where automation is not feasible due to contract conditions.
  • Control and monitor billing of Amadeus Services & Consulting in order to ensure correct billing or crediting to Amadeus customers.
  • Define, review and validate requirements for reporting.
  • Produce billing reports monitoring to provide revenue visibility to the Sales, Product or Programme Management people.
  • Identify invoicing deviations (discounts, waivers, contractual status...) and obtain proper level of approval
  • Ensure proper revenue recognition adjustments by applying IFRS (Deferred -Revenue, IFRIC 18, Accruals).
  • Respond to clients’ ad-hoc requests regarding billing or revenue management.
  • Ensure proper documentation and traceability of all incentive calculations. Collaborate with commercial and finance teams to interpret complex contract clauses impacting incentives.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities with high accuracy and timeliness.
  • Work together with other finance areas and internal customers to ensure positive Key Performance Indicators in line with agreed Service Level Agreements for operational Billing processes.
  • You are a business partner for internal departments and customers, providing support and advice for all operational Billing related topics.
  • You drive, collaborate and give input on the evolution of Order to Cash related processes.
  • You are eager to work on local and international projects.

About The Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a Finance role, ideally related to Billing, Collection, OTC or similar.
  • English bilingual
  • Fluent Spanish
  • Leads by example. Interested to master the daily activities of the department. Ready to go an extra mile to obtain extraordinary results
  • Problem solver identify new requirements, identify problems, analyze, prioritize and solve them.
  • Proactiveness and initiative.
  • Excellent communication, conflict management and team development skills.
  • Expert level SAP, Excel, Salesforce and Power BI are a plus.
