About The Role

We are seeking a Junior Full-Stack Product Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to building the web applications and internal tools that support our K-12 campuses. This role offers an exciting opportunity for early-career developers who are passionate about creating impactful, user-centric products. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning features end-to-end within a TypeScript-based stack, including React and Tailwind on the frontend, Node.js and API routes on the backend, and Postgres for data management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy high-quality web applications that serve real users, ensuring each product is polished, responsive, and reliable. This position is ideal for someone who has already shipped full-stack applications independently and is eager to grow their expertise in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building full-stack TypeScript applications, including frontend and backend development
• Experience designing database schemas and writing SQL queries for Postgres
• Familiarity with React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS for frontend development
• Knowledge of Node.js, API route development, and server-side logic
• Ability to ship production-ready features with real users and iterate based on feedback
• Strong product instincts with the ability to scope and prioritize features effectively
• Competence in modeling data, writing migrations, and optimizing queries
• Experience integrating third-party tools and services such as Google Workspace, Slack, and Notion
• Ability to handle operational tasks like logging, error handling, and monitoring
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• U.S. work authorization required

Responsibilities

• Develop and own full-stack features end-to-end within a TypeScript stack, from UI to database
• Design and implement responsive, user-friendly interfaces using React and Tailwind CSS
• Build and maintain backend API routes, data models, and database queries in Postgres
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into functional features
• Ship features to production, monitor their performance, and iterate based on user feedback
• Design and model data schemas, write migrations, and optimize database queries for performance
• Develop integrations and webhooks connecting our platform with external tools like Google Workspace, Slack, and AI providers
• Manage operational aspects such as logging, error handling, and system health monitoring to ensure product stability
• Participate in code reviews, maintain code quality, and follow best practices in software development
• Communicate progress, flag blockers early, and ensure timely delivery of features
