We are seeking an innovative Electrical Engineer to design and develop advanced robotic systems for applications in medical, defense, and scientific research. This role offers the opportunity to work across the complete product development lifecycle, from concept and architecture through manufacturing, testing, and system integration.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in embedded electronics and enjoys hands-on work with hardware. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to create reliable, high-performance electronic systems that power next-generation robotic platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electronic systems for advanced robotic devices.
  • Participate in the complete hardware development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture, schematic capture, PCB design support, manufacturing, testing, and documentation.
  • Design circuits for sensor interfaces, power management, motor control, and embedded processing.
  • Develop solutions involving microcontrollers, DSPs, ARM processors, SoCs, and embedded computing platforms.
  • Design and validate analog, digital, and power electronics.
  • Create wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and associated documentation.
  • Perform circuit simulation, prototyping, and system-level testing.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and embedded system issues.
  • Support PCB fabrication, manufacturing partners, BOM management, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
  • Generate detailed technical documentation throughout product development.
  • Collaborate closely with software, mechanical, manufacturing, and systems engineering teams.
  • Lead electronics development projects of moderate complexity while working independently with minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 3–7 years of relevant electrical or embedded hardware engineering experience.
  • Strong experience designing embedded electronic systems.
  • Experience with:
  • Sensor interfaces (encoders, IMUs, gyroscopes, accelerometers, temperature, current sensors, potentiometers)
  • Communication interfaces including RS232, RS422, RS485, CAN, USB, Ethernet (GigE), SPI, I2C, and Bluetooth
  • Analog circuit design (op-amps, comparators, filters)
  • Digital logic design
  • Microcontrollers, DSPs, ARM processors, SoCs, and SOMs
  • Power electronics including AC/DC and DC/DC converters, battery systems, and brushless motor controllers
  • Experience with PCB design workflows, DFM, BOM management, and manufacturing support.
  • Familiarity with Altium Designer and SPICE simulation tools.
  • Experience using laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under tight project timelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with EMI/EMC design and laboratory compliance testing.
  • Experience designing electronics with complex mechanical integration requirements.
  • Experience creating technical documentation in regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with military standards and testing methodologies.
  • Experience using Eagle PCB software.
  • Experience developing embedded device drivers in C/C++.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic devices including FPGA, CPLD, VHDL, and Verilog.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing and production environments.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
