Role Overview
The Head of Engineering will provide strategic and technical leadership in the design, execution, and delivery of bulk material handling systems and heavy mechanical projects. The role involves driving innovation, operational excellence, and customer-centric engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical & Engineering Leadership
- Lead technical strategy for Bulk Material Handling systems
- Oversee engineering design, validation, and execution
- Ensure adherence to global standards, quality, and compliance
2. Proposal & Business Development
- Support proposal engineering and tendering activities
- Provide technical inputs for cost estimation and project feasibility
- Collaborate with sales teams for business growth
3. Engineering Management
- Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams
- Manage engineering schedules, deliverables, and budgets
- Ensure project milestones are achieved on time
4. Digital Engineering
- Drive adoption of digital tools, simulation, and automation
- Implement advanced engineering practices (e.g., FEA, digital twins)
5. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with industry codes, safety, and regulatory standards
- Implement quality assurance processes and audits
6. Resource Management
- Optimize manpower allocation and productivity
- Develop and mentor engineering talent
7. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and project teams
- Ensure seamless project execution
8. Customer Interface
- Act as a technical point of contact for clients
- Handle escalations and ensure customer satisfaction
9. Innovation & Value Engineering
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation
- Implement cost optimization and value engineering initiatives
