Role Description
We are looking for an Identity and Access Management Engineer to join our dynamic and distributed Cybersecurity team and contribute to our Identity as a Service solution. You will be expected to be an expert in our Identity as a Service platform, driving internal changes to our implementations. You will need to stay current on emerging threats, technologies, and trends related to Identity and Access Management to ensure that we are addressing our needs and risks. You will work closely with others in Cybersecurity, Engineering, and Business teams in this role to ensure that we are meeting their needs and that they are following our best practices.
Responsibilities
- The Identity and Access Management Engineer will operate across multiple Okta tenants, each with distinct environments, processes, and integration requirements.
- This role balances day-to-day operational support, including authentication troubleshooting, SSO application onboarding, and process guidance, with the adaptability required to work effectively across a complex, multi-tenant identity landscape.
- Work effectively across multiple environments that each have their own unique processes and procedures.
- Identifying the root cause whenever issues arise and come up with long term solutions.
- Ensure a sound operating environment for the firms Identity as a Service solution.
- Identifying and resolving issues before there is impact, minimizing technical debt, and automating wherever possible.
- Enhance the firms Identity solutions making them more secure, more user friendly, and more efficient.
- Monitor the identity life-cycle process for the firms workforce; making sure that identity life-cycle automation is performing as expected and handle exception processes to align people, identities, and accounts.
- Onboard new applications to the firms SSO solutions.
- Educate end users on the use of IAM related tools and processes.
- Understand and troubleshoot IAM related issues.
- Maintain documentation for IAM processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Detailed understanding of Identity related risks and controls.
- Experience with Identity and Access Management concepts such as authentication, authorization, multi-factor authentication, and federation.
- Experienced with Identity as a Service solution such as Okta and Microsoft.
- Understanding of SSO related technologies such as SAML, OIDC, SCIM, JIT.
- Understanding of identity lifecycle management.
- Experience with SQL and scripting (such as Powershell).
- Experience with Terraform
