Role Description The Food Server is a part-time, on-site role located in Oakbrook, IL. In this role, the Food Server welcomes guests, presents menus, answers questions about dishes and beverages, and provides recommendations that reflect the restaurant’s rustic Italian concept. Day-to-day responsibilities include accurately taking orders, coordinating with kitchen and bar staff, serving food and drinks, and ensuring tables are properly set, cleared, and reset. The Food Server helps maintain a clean and organized dining area, processes payments, and supports a positive guest experience from arrival to departure. This role requires reliability during peak service hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

  • Hospitality skills second to none is a must
  • Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of Food & Beverage offerings, including basic wine and Italian cuisine familiarity.
  • Experience in Food Service, such as table service, order taking, and handling payments.
  • Effective Communication skills for interacting with guests and collaborating with team members.
  • Basic Cooking or kitchen familiarity is helpful for understanding menu items and ingredients.
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry trays safely.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
