Role overview  

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our team. You will play a crucial part in leveraging machine learning and advanced analytics to drive actionable insights and innovation to combine piracy.

 As a Data Scientist, you will work closely with other data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to develop and optimise predictive models, harnessing complex datasets in a cloud-based environment. Your expertise in machine learning, statistical analysis, and AI will help shape data-driven decision-making across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of data science, contributing to cutting-edge projects that have a real impact. 

What you’ll do

• Develops advanced analytics methods such as predictive modelling, time series forecasting, text mining, clustering algorithms etc., using appropriate tools and technologies (Python/R/SAS)
• Analyses large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns in complex datasets.
• Designs experiments and build models that can help improve customer experience or optimise operational efficiency.
• Collaborates with stakeholders across the Organisation to understand their needs and develop relevant analytical solutions.
• Creates visualisations of results using Tableau or other software packages.
• Monitors performance of models over time by tracking key metrics.
• Present findings in a clear manner using reports or presentations.

What you’ll bring   

Essential Criteria

• Hands on experience in  building ML models, preferably NLP and computer vision.  
• Experience in Python, SQL, and common data science libraries (Pandas, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow etc).  
• Experience with big data pipelines and platforms like BigQuery.  
• Strong statistics, algorithms, and data modelling knowledge.  
• Ability to derive actionable insights from analysis.  
• Excellent communication skills, analytical mindset, ethics and bias awareness.

We've adopted a hybrid working approach to give more flexibility on where and how we work. The hybrid working expectations for this role are  2  days in the office per week.
