About The Role
We're looking for an experienced technology leader to establish and mature a new Pre-Delivery Technology Analysis function within Suncorp's Digital Insurer Transformation Office. You'll create frameworks, standards and ways of working that help delivery teams move faster, with greater consistency and predictability. Working alongside senior technology and business leaders, you'll influence enterprise-wide transformation while developing a high-performing network of Technical Business Analysts.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating structure within ambiguity, challenging traditional thinking, and helping organisations adopt new approaches to technology delivery.
What You'll Do
- Lead the establishment and evolution of the Pre-Delivery Technology Analysis function, creating operating models, frameworks and standards that improve delivery readiness and consistency across the Digital Insurer program.
- Build and influence a network of Technical Business Analysts through strong people leadership, coaching and capability development. You'll create a collaborative environment where knowledge is shared across platforms and delivery streams.
- Review and uplift technical deliverables, ensuring analysis outputs meet a consistent standard and support smooth transitions into delivery. You'll provide guidance that improves quality, reduces ambiguity and strengthens delivery confidence.
- Partner with Architecture, Engineering, Delivery and business leaders to translate strategic priorities into clear, integrated and delivery-ready scope. You'll help teams make informed decisions on trade-offs, risks and technology approaches.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement through new tooling, AI-enabled practices and streamlined delivery approaches that increase speed-to-market and improve quality outcomes.
- Build trusted relationships across business and technology teams, influencing stakeholders at all levels to support a unified delivery approach and successful transformation outcomes.
What You'll Bring
- Significant experience leading technology teams within large-scale project and transformation environments. You'll bring a strong track record of delivering outcomes across complex programs rather than purely operational or service delivery functions.
- Proven people leadership experience with the ability to develop high-performing teams, uplift capability and create environments where individuals and teams can succeed.
- Strong technical leadership skills with experience reviewing analysis outputs, guiding solution direction and establishing standards that improve delivery quality and consistency.
- Deep understanding of insurance (preferred) or financial services environments, combined with experience leading technology change programs and complex system integration initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in ambiguity. You'll be comfortable creating new frameworks, influencing without direct authority and helping teams adopt new ways of working.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills that enable you to challenge constructively, build credibility quickly and influence outcomes across business, technology and delivery communities.
