Job Identification:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team. This role will serve as the primary point of contact within the Legal Department – Compliance for Competition, E-Commerce regulations, and commercial contract-related matters, supporting 12 countries at the Group Office level. The role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on experience, and a business-oriented mindset to lead and support complex competition law matters.

As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will partner closely with business units -particularly commercial teams- to ensure compliance in daily operations. You will act as a collaborative business partner, providing practical and commercially driven legal support.

What We Expect:

  • Lead and manage competition law investigations and merger control processes,
  • Develop and oversee competition law compliance programs across the organization,
  • Conduct internal investigations, audits, and risk assessments,
  • Provide strategic legal advice based on market insights and regulatory developments,
  • Collaborate closely with business teams to deliver practical and sector-aligned compliance solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Law degree (LL.B.) with active Bar membership (mandatory),
  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience at the Turkish Competition Authority or within the competition law practice of a top-tier law firm,
  • Proven experience in competition law investigations and merger control (M&A / clearance) processes, with a track record of ownership and accountability,
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs, including conducting internal audits and investigations,
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market data, economic trends, and legal documentation,
  • Prior experience in the FMCG and/or Food sector, with the ability to tailor compliance strategies to industry-specific dynamics,
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English,
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills,
  • Solid business acumen and ability to provide legal advice in a fast-paced environment,
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships across functions,
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as needed.
