System Engineer (Mid–Senior Level)

Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux server environments.
- Manage enterprise infrastructure including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and virtualization platforms.
- Administer cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Monitor system health, availability, capacity, and performance.
- Perform system upgrades, patch management, and infrastructure improvements.
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Troubleshoot server, storage, networking, and operating system issues.
- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Maintain security best practices including endpoint protection, access controls, and vulnerability remediation.
- Collaborate with networking, security, DevOps, and application teams.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and architecture diagrams.
- Participate in on-call support and critical incident resolution when required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a System Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or Systems Administrator.
- Strong experience with Windows Server and Linux administration.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft technologies.
- Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPN, Firewalls, Routing).
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Scripting experience using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Security hardening and compliance experience.
- Microsoft, VMware, AWS, Azure, Linux, or Cisco certifications are highly preferred.
