About the job
COMPANY DESCRIPTION
An AI strategy and automation consultancy building AI-native workflows for some of the UK’s leading organisations.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The automation engineer will own the build and delivery of a 5-stage automation pipeline for a private healthcare client, integrated directly into their clinical and administrative stack.
This is a 6-week contract engagement - discovery, build, UAT, go-live, and 30-day hypercare. The scope is defined, the client relationship is live, and the stack is locked. You will be embedded with the ivee delivery team and given full ownership of the technical build from day one.
The project eliminates 54 hours of manual administrative work per week from a consultant support team. Every consultant appointment generates a patient letter. Today that letter goes through 10 manual steps before it reaches the patient. You are replacing 9 of them with a single automated pipeline triggered on consultant approval, integrated into Meddbase, O365, and Egress.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build a webhook-triggered PDF generation pipeline that fires on letter approval in Meddbase and renders a formatted output via a templatin g engineImplement a consent resolver that reads structured fields from Meddbase and routes dispatch downstream accordingly
- Build a CC contact lookup that resolves recipient addresses from Meddbase with an AI fallback for missing recordsImplement dispatch routing across two encrypted paths: MDB secure link where no CCs are present, Egress PDF send where CCs are present, plus print handling
- Build status writeback to Meddbase, replacing a parallel Excel log with a live dashboard
- Design and implement an exception queue, real-time failure alerting, and weekly digest for the ~10% of volume that cannot be automatically resolved
- Deliver UAT with the support team in Week 5 and manage go-live in Week 6
