Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

  • Develop and execute the Altair strategic business plan in partnership with North America Eyewear leadership.
  • Maintain responsibility for the overall Altair profit and loss (P&L), ensuring achievement of revenue, profitability, and market share objectives.
  • Deliver annual revenue targets, EBITDA goals, and sustainable business growth.
  • Analyze sales performance, market trends, and business opportunities to continuously optimize sales and profitability strategies.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive developments, and emerging market opportunities to shape strategic direction.

Sales Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Regional Sales Managers, Inside Sales Managers, and Sales Representatives.
  • Build and maintain a high-performance culture focused on accountability, clear expectations, talent development, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage teams with varying levels of sales expertise while cultivating a strong customer-centric mindset.
  • Define and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance expectations throughout the sales organization.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement sales training programs, tools, and development opportunities in partnership with the Sales Enablement team.

Revenue Growth & Customer Development

  • Develop and execute sales strategies that drive market share gains and profitable growth.
  • Maintain strategic relationships with major accounts while ensuring a visible and proactive presence across the customer base.
  • Leverage Salesforce CRM and analytics tools to monitor performance, forecast business trends, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Monitor and review key sales metrics including revenue achievement, margins, customer satisfaction, territory performance, and market penetration.
  • Analyze sales results and implement strategic adjustments to achieve Altair sales and profitability targets.

Inside Sales Leadership

  • Oversee the inside sales organization, including staffing, pipeline management, outbound and inbound sales activities, call cadence, and conversion performance.
  • Establish and monitor inside sales KPIs, including call volume, quote activity, conversion rates, close rates, and average order value.
  • Ensure inside sales efforts align with overall sales objectives and maximize revenue generation from existing and prospective customers.
  • Drive continuous improvement in sales processes, customer engagement, and productivity.

Financial & Operational Management

  • Develop annual sales department budgets and manage actual versus budgeted financial performance.
  • Provide accurate monthly sales forecasts and revenue projections.
  • Monitor operational performance and implement strategies that support both revenue and EBITDA objectives.
  • Partner closely with Finance, Supply Chain, Distribution, Customer Service, Brand, and Sales Enablement teams to achieve business goals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Brand, Sales Enablement, and Operations teams to develop profitable promotional programs and support product development initiatives.
  • Oversee sales-related marketing content, production, and distribution activities in partnership with the Brand team.
  • Assist in developing tools and processes that improve operational efficiency and support risk management initiatives.
  • Provide regular business updates, performance analysis, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, customer focus, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Champion organizational effectiveness by developing strong leaders and building highly engaged teams.
  • Promote collaboration across departments to ensure alignment and execution of company objectives.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications

Typically Has the Following Skills or Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience; plus a minimum of three additional years of experience related to the functional area.
  • Minimum of six years of management experience with responsibility for hiring, training, assigning work, and managing the performance of direct reports.
  • Demonstrated excellence building and leading high-performing sales organizations.
  • Experience managing budgeted and actual P&L performance with accountability for revenue and profitability results.
  • Proven success developing and executing sales and business growth strategies.
  • Experience leading inside sales, field sales, and multi-level sales organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a global organization and build strong cross-functional partnerships.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce CRM and sales performance analytics.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic business mindset.
  • Ability to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of job duties.
  • Travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of work time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within the eyewear, optical, fashion, consumer products, or branded retail industry.
  • Experience leading direct and indirect sales channels.
  • Demonstrated success driving market share growth and brand expansion initiatives.
  • Executive leadership experience managing large-scale commercial organizations.

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Salary Ranges: $126,000.00 - $191,625.00
