About the Organization
We are hiring an experienced Embedded Software Engineer for a leading global engineering organization working on advanced Tachography / safety-critical automotive systems in Solna, Sweden.
If you have strong experience in Embedded C, CAN, Diagnostics, RTOS, and safety-critical development, this is an excellent opportunity to work on high-impact embedded platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate software requirements into detailed design and implementation
- Develop new features and enhancements within a shared embedded codebase
- Ensure compliance with MISRA and safety-critical coding standards
- Perform static code analysis and resolve code quality issues
- Develop and execute unit test cases with MC/DC coverage validation
- Support integration testing and resolve defects
- Maintain traceability across requirements, design, and test artifacts
- Collaborate with architects, system engineers, and validation teams
🎯 Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- 4+ years of experience in embedded software or safety-critical systems
- Strong programming skills in Embedded C
- Experience with CAN and Diagnostics
- Knowledge of RTOS (FreeRTOS preferred)
- Familiarity with static analysis tools and CI/CD environments
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
➕ Preferred Skills
- MCAL layer embedded C development
- Strong understanding of UART, Serial Communication & I/O debugging
- Experience with HW-SW interface and electrical-level debugging
- Clear understanding of FreeRTOS architecture and lower-layer code flow
