Description

About Us

At Chompshop, we make tools for the next generation of inventors, thinkers, and problem-solvers! Our ChompSaw is a kid-safe power tool for cutting cardboard that was designed to help young makers bring ideas to life and start building with their own two hands. Our startup was founded 4 years ago by Kausi (“cow-see”) and Max ("max") — graduates of the Integrated Product Design Master’s program at UPenn. We started with a dream of making hands-on skills unintimidating and approachable by anyone. Since then, we've launched on Kickstarter, pitched on Shark Tank, won “Creative Toy of the Year,” and delivered over 100,000 ChompSaws to maker spaces, schools, museums, and homes around the world!

Who We Are

We are a small team of self-starters that believe in open-minded exploration, embracing mistakes as part of the journey, sparking creativity through play, and letting design-led creation shape our world. We're growing rapidly, and looking for a content creator to join our team!

About the Role

We owe so much of our success to social media! The right person for this role loves the challenge of creating engaging content, is fascinated by social culture and trends, and genuinely enjoys building communities and uncovering what works on each social platform.

We’re looking for a full-time Social Content Manager to lead our brand across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Facebook, while building and scaling our influencer partnerships and affiliate program.

This is a multifaceted role split across three core areas: roughly 50% of the time will be focused on content creation (driving our owned & organic social content), 25% sourcing and managing creator partnerships, and 25% will be aimed towards overseeing user-generated content and growing our affiliate program (recruiting creators, managing payouts, and developing creative briefs).

If you're the kind of person who watches a Reel and immediately knows why it works, can pitch brands authentically, and wants to build a thriving community of makers around a product you believe in, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do:

Content Creation (50%)

  • Create engaging short-form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, and Facebook
  • Film hands-on projects, product demos, UGC-style videos, and trend-driven content (This involves creating content with kids, guiding their experience with the ChompSaw, and reaching out to schools, parent groups, and maker spaces for onsite opportunities).
  • Edit videos with strong pacing, storytelling, captions, hooks, and platform-native formatting
  • Develop and execute the social content calendar and campaign planning
  • Brainstorm and own creative concepts, recurring content series, and seasonal campaign ideas
  • Stay on top of social trends, audio, memes, and platform best practices
  • Support product launches, campaigns, and seasonal promotions with original content

Influencer & Creator Sourcing + Management (25%)

  • Source, pitch, and onboard influencers for new product launches and seasonal campaigns.
  • Negotiate terms, manage contracts, and track creator campaign performance
  • Coordinate gifting, early access, and collaboration briefs with creators
  • Track creator-generated content and repurpose top-performing pieces across our channels
  • Report on influencer campaign performance, ROI, and audience reach

UGC + Affiliate Program Development & Management (25%)

  • Build and scale our affiliate program, recruiting customers and community members to create content
  • Source, edit, and optimize UGC-style video for paid social ads (Meta, Google, TikTok)
  • Monitor affiliate performance metrics and optimize program economics
  • Create affiliate marketing materials, guidelines, and onboarding documentation.

Who You Are:

  • You have experience running social media accounts, creating content, and managing creator relationships
  • You understand what performs well on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and short-form video platforms
  • You've worked with or managed influencers, creators, or affiliate partnerships (at any scale)
  • You're creative, organized, proactive, and self-directed
  • You're comfortable filming hands-on projects and working around kids/family-oriented content
  • You can take an idea from concept to final edit
  • You're genuinely excited about startups, maker culture, education, and hands-on creativity
  • You have a network or strong instincts for sourcing creators in the education, DIY, and maker spaces

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut, or similar editing software expertise
  • Photography, motion graphics, or animation skills
  • Proven experience with creator outreach, influencer partnerships, or affiliate program management
  • Paid social creative or UGC-style advertisement production experience
  • A network of creators in the education, parenting, or maker spaces
  • Experience in Shopify (UpPromote is our affiliate platform)
