Role Description The Technical Writer / RFP Writer will develop clear, accurate, and client-ready documentation for IT and payments consulting projects. This contract, remote role involves drafting, editing, and organizing technical documents, RFP responses, proposals, and supporting materials, ensuring consistency with company standards and client requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include gathering information from subject matter experts, translating complex technical concepts into accessible content, and maintaining documentation templates and style guides. The writer will also track documentation versions, ensure timely delivery of RFP submissions, and collaborate with project and sales teams to align content with business objectives.

Must Have Qualifications

  • Excellent skills in using Microsoft Word, creation of graphics, tables, table of contents generation from multiple documents
  • Candidates should possess Excellent skills in Technical Documentation and general Documentation practices.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Technical Writing and Technical Communication.
  • Responding to very large Government proposal is highly desirable
  • Candidates should possess experience creating and maintaining Manuals and related instructional materials.
  • Experience writing RFP responses, proposals, and client-facing technical content.
  • Ability to translate complex IT and payments concepts into clear, concise language for diverse audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and version control in documentation workflows.
  • Proficiency with common documentation tools (e.g., MS Office, MS Project, PDF tools; experience with collaboration platforms is a plus).
  • Prior experience in IT services, consulting, or payments industry is beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Technical Communication, English, Communications, Information Technology) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting and meet deadlines for multiple concurrent projects.
