ICBC Turkey Bank is searching for a teammate to be recruited in the Financial Management and Accounting Unit of the Financial Control and Accounting Department

To fit this position, you need to have the below qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree or above, major in Accounting, Economics, Finance is preferred,
  • Deep, authoritative knowledge of Turkish Financial Reporting Standards (TMS/TFRS). Prior experience with IFRS reconciliation or multinational banking chart mapping is a distinct advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in financial accounting and technical compliance. Flexibility Clause: The experience requirement may be relaxed to 5–6 years for exceptionally qualified candidates who have held Senior Technical Advisor or Accounting Expert roles within major financial institutions, multinational banks, or Big 4 accounting firms.
  • Exceptional logical reasoning, structured problem-solving skills, and a strong research-driven approach; proven ability to mentor junior or mid-level team members.

  • Open-minded to embrace the new working requirements and management.
  • Having excellent command of English language, both written and oral,
  • Proficiency in office softwares.

You will have below responsibilities for this position:

  • Technical Advisory & Guidance:

Serve as technical authority for the team on complex accounting treatments, local regulations, and variance analyses, resolving high-level queries in daily operations.

2. Regulatory Policy Tracking:

Continuously monitor updates and shifts in accounting and tax policies issued by the Turkish Ministry of Treasury and Finance, Revenue Administration, and banking regulatory authorities (e.g., BRSA / BDDK). Evaluate business impacts and design implementation roadmaps.

3. Chart of Accounts (CoA) & System Mapping:

Lead and optimize the mapping logic between the Turkish Uniform Chart of Accounts (BTHP) and international/parent bank management reporting lines to ensure structural integrity and compliance.

4. Audit & Special Projects:

Provide expert technical opinions on high-risk accounting areas, cross-period adjustments, and the thorough cleanup of transition/suspense accounts (Geçici Hesaplar). Act as the primary technical liaison for external audits.

5. Knowledge Transfer:

Translate complex statutory clauses into clear, standardized operational guidelines and internal training to elevate the team's overall technical capability.
