This Senior Staff Design Engineer will be part of Power IC team developing Multiphase VCORE controllers, Smart Power Stages, PMICs and similar IC's for a variety of end markets.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform Block Level design of various Analog blocks including Definition, Transistor Level Design, Layout Support, and Documentation.
  • Perform Top Level AMS (Analog, Mixed-Signal) Verification simulations of IC chips.
  • Perform Circuit Modelling using excel, matlab, simplis of Switching Regulator Architectures and Features.
  • Support Test and Applications teams during evaluation and characterization of new IC products.
  • Debug, root-cause and fix bugs found during Silicon Evaluation.
  • Create detailed documentation of completed work and hold reviews with design teams and all cross-functional teams as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Strong track record designing successful high-volume power management ICs.
  • Deep understanding of analog design techniques in .18u CMOS process and below.
  • Skilled at transistor level design of all types of analog sub-blocks.
  • Experience and knowledge of DC-DC controllers and common architectures.
  • Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, layout and devices.
  • Use of Cadence software and tools for analog IC design.

Education:

  • BSEE or Equivalent and 5 years experience in IC Design
  • MSEE or Equivalent and 3 years experience in IC Design
