Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university, masters or PHD degree is an asset,
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a corporate company or a reputable law firm (preferred)
  • Solid legal notion,
  • Experience in Corporate Law, Privacy Law, Contract Law and Labor Law
  • Understands how legal daily work contributes to the priorities of the team and the business,
  • Hands-on experience in contract drafting, review, and negotiation processes
  • Experience in litigation and enforcement (execution) proceedings follow-up
  • Knowledge of Turkish Commercial Code, Labor Law, and Law of Obligations
  • Understands expectations and demonstrates personal accountability for keeping performance on track,
  • Respect deadlines and manage priorities under challenging and time-critical circumstances with a sense of urgency,
  • Actively focuses on developing effective communication and relationship-building skills,
  • Builds own understanding of our purpose and values; explores opportunities for impact.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating all types of contracts required by the company
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including labor laws, data protection, and industry-specific regulations,
  • Collaborate with external counsel, when necessary,
  • Monitor changes in legislation and advise management on potential impacts to the business,
  • Managing and following up litigation and enforcement files; coordinating with external counsels
  • Providing legal support on Labor Law-related matters
  • Advising internal departments on daily legal matters
  • Identifying legal risks and supporting the implementation of preventive actions
  • Monitoring legislative changes and adapting company processes accordingly
  • Assist on legal matters in connection with Company’s activities most specifically on the Law no3568 and other relevant regulations with respect to audit services,
  • Provide legal assistance to internal clients on the legislation and statutes of Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency, Capital Markets Board of Turkey and Public Oversight, Accounting and Auditing Standards Authority,
  • Review and negotiate all kinds of complex contracts regarding procurement and sales (experience in a service company is an asset),
  • Draft legal memorandums and provide legal advice to all business units,
  • Provide trainings to internal clients mainly on data protection law and contract review policies, and Support Chief Legal Officer to ensure legal best practice and the efficiency of the legal department.
  • Leading projects/tasks including but not limited to data protection compliance and gap analysis projects,
  • Preparing legal documents including general assembly and board of directors resolutions, signature circulars and PoAs,
  • Drafting and revising internal policies and procedures,
  • Supporting of implementation and execution of the compliance policies and procedures of the Company,
  • Anticipating and mitigating potential legal risks,
  • Following up on the new laws and regulations related to Company’s activities,
  • Preparing legal documents including general assembly and board of directors resolutions, signature circulars and PoAs.
