Description

We are seeking a Data Quality Engineer to help improve the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of enterprise data across business systems and analytics platforms. This role will work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to identify data issues, establish quality standards, and implement solutions that improve trust in company data. Must be authorized to work in the US on a full time basis now and in the future without employer sponsorship. Position is located on the Southeastern side of Greater Cleveland. Must be open to working 3 days onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data quality rules, standards, and validation processes.
  • Monitor and improve data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability across enterprise systems.
  • Analyze data issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution efforts.
  • Build and support data quality monitoring, reporting, and automation processes.
  • Partner with data engineering, IT, and business teams to improve data ownership and governance.
  • Support data classification, lineage, and metadata management initiatives.
  • Help define and track data quality metrics and KPIs.
  • Assist with improving data processes across ERP, CRM, analytics, and operational platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data quality, data engineering, data governance, or analytics.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience analyzing and validating data.
  • Experience working with data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes (Azure Data Factory preferred).
  • Understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and data integration concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business teams.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with data governance or metadata management tools (Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation, Informatica, etc.).
  • Experience with ERP, CRM, or master data environments.
  • Exposure to manufacturing, distribution, or commercial business environments.
  • Experience with Power BI or other analytics platforms.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices.
