The Role

We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Business Development Manager to support the growth of Jukes across the UK and selected international markets. This role will focus on developing new business, strengthening existing relationships, and helping to grow the customer base across retail, on-trade, and distributor channels. Working closely with founder Matthew Jukes, the role will help build out the relationships he has already established, ensuring consistent follow-up, strong communication, and ongoing account development.

This is a hands-on commercial role suited to someone who enjoys relationship building, organisation, and the satisfaction of turning opportunity into long-term business value. It offers the chance to learn directly from the founder, gain exposure across premium sales channels, and contribute meaningfully to the continued growth of the brand.

Key responsibilities

  • Support UK sales growth across retail, wholesale, and on-trade channels through proactive outreach, follow-up, and relationship management.
  • Work closely with Matthew Jukes to develop and grow the relationships he has already built, ensuring regular contact, timely follow-up, and strong account stewardship.
  • Help identify and pursue new business opportunities across relevant channels, markets, and territories.
  • Support the management of distributor relationships by maintaining communication, tracking next steps, and helping ensure service levels and sales plans are followed through.
  • Assist with national retail listings and trade activations by coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
  • Support international distributor relationships by helping maintain regular communication and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with the wider team on forecasting, pricing, marketing activity, and export-related support where needed.
  • Represent the brand professionally at tastings, trade shows, customer meetings, and other commercial events.
  • Keep accurate records of activity, pipeline, opportunities, and follow-up actions.
  • Contribute ideas and insight to wider commercial strategy as the role develops.

About you

  • Experience in sales, business development, account management, or commercial support, ideally within FMCG, drinks, hospitality, or premium consumer brands.
  • Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing follow-up and multiple priorities.
  • Able to work independently while staying closely aligned to founder-led direction.
  • Interested in growing within a fast-moving business and developing commercial capability over time.
  • Passionate about premium, health-conscious food and beverage brands.

Base Salary
