Position- Senior General Manager- Vendor Development, Quality.
Educational qualifications and experience required
Job Profile Requirements:
1.1 Provide inputs in creating long term quality management system strategy & create roadmap aligned with overall organization goals, objectives
1.2 Oversee end-to-end development and implementation of overall quality plans
1.3 Collaborate with leadership to identify new quality management system (QMS) initiatives / projects and set operational plans that meet these future demands
1.4 Participate in quality management budgeting cycle and provide inputs on budget allocation for own team
1.5 Oversee deployment of own budget and ensure efficient utilization and minimum variance in target v/s actual
2. System & Process
2.1 Develop, document and share quality standards, acceptance norms and guidelines for raw materials, processes, products that align with business objectives, regulatory requirements and customer expectations
2.2 Oversee the inspection and testing of materials, processes and products to ensure adherence to quality standards
2.3 Monitor QMS systems and advise team on system performance; publish statistics regarding performance against set goals
2.4 Track quality reports generated by the Quality Teams, identifying deviations in adherence to quality standards
3. Customer Interaction, MIS & Reports
3.1 Understand customer requirements and handle customer complaint process and ensure implementation of customer response program in adherence to set guidelines, policy and procedures
3.2 Ensure compliance to customer quality requirements and act as primary contact for customer on quality issues, and ensure implementation of corrective actions as per the given technical specifications
3.3 Oversees maintenance of accurate and detailed records of quality management system (QMS) activities
3.4 Define standard guidelines and procedures for quality management system (QMS) reports and formats.
3.5 Ensure regular and accurate updating in SAP and GR clearances
3.6 Prepare and present regular reports on quality metrics, analytics and performance to senior management
4. Vendor Management
'4.1 Hold regular meetings with vendors to understand their concerns and provide technical support as needed
4.2 Foster the technical development of both existing and new vendors, ensuring they possess the necessary competencies to meet quality standards
4.3 Organize quality summits for various vendors, sharing feedback received and collaboratively establishing Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to prevent future incidents
4.4 Evaluate and assign quality ratings to vendors based on their performance in delivering Purchase Orders (POs)
4.5 Identify vendors eligible for green channel certification based on their track record of delivering high-quality work
4.6 Plan and conduct process audits for both new and existing vendors with green channel certification, ensuring ongoing compliance with quality standards
4.7 Perform Why-Why analysis to investigate and address feedback received from the site, aiming to continuously improve quality performance.
5. People Management
5.1 Instill a culture of continuous development and high performance within the own team
5.2 Participate in recruitment activities & ensure retention / engagement of own team
5.3 Set performance objectives of own team, evaluate / appraise team members and provide regular feedback & guidance
5.4 Guide, mentor and develop own team to take larger and complex responsibilities
