Fraser Dove are partnering with a fast-growing life sciences company that are seeking a Senior Vice President of Operations to lead and scale end-to-end operations as the business.
This is a senior executive role spanning manufacturing, supply chain, quality systems, regulatory affairs, process scale-up and commercial readiness. The successful candidate will be both strategic and hands-on, with the ability to build scalable operations in a fast-moving biotechnology or medical device environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and scale manufacturing, supply chain, logistics and operational infrastructure.
- Oversee facility design, equipment qualification, process validation and technology transfer.
- Drive operational excellence through automation, lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Develop regulatory strategies to support product commercialisation in regulated markets.
- Build and maintain quality systems aligned with relevant ISO, USP, cGMP and regulatory standards.
- Lead QA/QC, CAPA, audit readiness and continuous improvement activities.
- Establish scalable supply chain, inventory, demand planning and S&OP processes.
- Manage supplier qualification, performance, dual sourcing and external partner relationships.
- Partner closely with R&D, Commercial and Finance to align product development, capacity and business goals.
- Lead ERP-driven operational planning, ideally using NetSuite or a similar system.
Experience Required
- Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Engineering or a related field.
- 15+ years’ leadership experience in biotechnology, diagnostics, life sciences tools or medical devices.
- Proven experience scaling manufacturing and supply chain operations.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory affairs, quality systems and product commercialisation.
- Experience with ISO standards, USP, cGMP and regulated product environments.
- Background in process development, technology transfer, supplier qualification and operational scale-up.
- Experience with cell-based products.
- Strong cross-functional leadership, budgeting, strategic planning and P&L experience.
- Hands-on, entrepreneurial leadership style suited to a high-growth environment.
- This role is on site 5 days a week.
