Cost & Sourcing Engineer

General Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Metallurgy & Materials, or related fields),
• Minimum 3 years of experience in cost analysis, should-costing, or sourcing,
• Hands-on experience in the automotive, motorcycle, or metal parts manufacturing industry,
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (welding, press, machining, etc.),
• Ability to read technical drawings and link design to cost drivers,
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
• Experience in localization / supplier development projects,
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP processes,
• SAP Purchasing and Cost Module and MS office,
• Experience with cost breakdown models and estimation tools,
• Lean Manufacturing / cost optimization experience,
• Good command of English.

Job Description

• Perform should-cost analysis for chassis, body, and metal components,
• Analyze supplier quotations and validate cost structures,
• Identify cost reduction opportunities through localization and process improvements,
• Work closely with technical and production teams to align cost and manufacturability,
• Support supplier negotiations with data-driven cost insights,
• Monitor cost performance during prototype and mass production phases,
• Benchmark costs across suppliers and regions,
• Experience in preparing, reviewing, and managing agreements and contracts,
• Regular monitoring of raw material market prices deviations and risks.
