About the Role
Zignuts Technolab is looking for a skilled Laravel + Frontend Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate is a versatile full-stack developer who is strong in Laravel (PHP) on the backend and comfortable working with modern frontend frameworks like Vue.js and React.js. Experience with WordPress is also required, as several of our client projects involve CMS-based development. Exposure to Python or Shopify is a Plus
You will work closely with project managers, designers, and fellow developers to build, maintain, and scale web applications for our clients across various industries. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Laravel (PHP framework).
- Build responsive and dynamic user interfaces using Vue.js or React.js.
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress-based websites and plugins as required.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Design and optimize MySQL database structures, queries, and relationships.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services into web applications.
- Build and manage admin panels using Laravel Filament.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, QA, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions on time.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues and bugs.
- Manage version control using Git and follow proper branching/merging workflows.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve coding speed, quality, and problem-solving.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in Laravel and frontend development.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience in Laravel development.
- Familiarity with MySQL — writing queries, database design, and optimization.
- Practical experience working with WordPress (theme/plugin customization, CMS management).
- Strong working knowledge of Vue.js or React.js for frontend development.
- Familiarity with state management libraries (Vuex, Redux, Pinia, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with Laravel Filament for building admin panels and dashboards.
- Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and RESTful API integration.
- Experience with Git version control.
- Solid understanding of OOP concepts and MVC architecture.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
- Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Good to Have
- Working knowledge of Python.
- Familiarity with AWS or cloud/server deployment basics.
- Exposure to AI-powered development tools (e.g., AI coding assistants, prompt-based workflows).
- Familiarity with native PHP attributes (e.g., for validation, routing, or DTO mapping).
- Exposure to Laravel-native AI SDKs (e.g., Prism, or similar packages for integrating LLMs into Laravel apps).
- Understanding of semantic/vector search concepts and tools (e.g., pgvector, Meilisearch, Typesense, or similar embeddings-based search).
- Familiarity with the modern Laravel ecosystem, including tools such as:
- Authentication & Authorization: Fortify, Sanctum, Jetstream, Passport, Socialite
- Performance & Infrastructure: Octane, Horizon, Laravel Cloud, Sail, Reverb
- Testing & Code Quality: Dusk, Pint, Nightwatch
- Monitoring & Automation: Envoy, Pennant
- Other Utilities: Cashier (billing/subscriptions), Folio (page-based routing)
- Experience working on client-facing projects across domains like CRM, CMS, or eCommerce.
