Project Background
For a large mobility and logistics corporation, a central data management platform (Data Lake) is operated and further developed as the core of the data infrastructure. This includes integrated dashboarding, reporting and advanced analytics. The target vision is a consistent and centrally controlled data basis that enables both comprehensive control capability and self-service use by the various regional units. The regions should be enabled to independently access provided data models and data products, perform analyses and efficiently implement their technical requirements, while simultaneously ensuring central standards, governance and reusability.
The platform has been developed in its fundamentals and provides essential functionalities in data management and analytics, accompanied by continuous further development of the platform – and subordinate applications – and its functionalities, in order to further expand the degree of usage, automation and data-driven decision support.
Requirements:
- Very good knowledge in development and architecture in the field of Data Management and Data Analytics (especially Python, PL/SQL, Airflow) in cloud environments (focus: AWS)
- Very good to good knowledge in development and architecture in the field of databases (RDBMS), Data Warehouse, Master Data Management (especially Oracle SQL and Oracle Apex) in cloud environments (focus: AWS)
- Sound knowledge in working with Linux, Git, CI/CD and typical development environments and practices from the open-source area (especially GitLab, VSCode, SDLC, collaboration on large, heterogeneous code repositories)
- High level of German language proficiency
Tasks
- Analysis of AS-IS systems, applications and architectures and adaptation to target architecture specifications for further development
- Design of user-centric applications based on cloud technologies
- Design of functional interfaces between applications and processes maintenance and further development
- Maintenance and further development of user-centric applications based on cloud technologies in Data Management and Data Analytics
- Development of functional interfaces between applications and processes testing and debugging
- Creation of database structures and establishment of interfaces between databases and systems
- Creation of data integration scripts documentation
- Creation of development documentation
- Creation and handover of an operations and development manual
