Position Summary

Deluxe's localization arm specializes in subtitling, closed captioning and translation services for major motion picture studios, film festivals, broadcast, streaming, and cable networks.

We are currently seeking experienced English to Japanese subtitle translators to join our freelance network.

Candidates must be based in EMEA time zones and available to work regularly during EMEA business hours.

Main Duties

• Translating subtitles from English into Japanese
• Proofreading and editing client-provided materials
• Conforming existing scripts/subtitle files to particular specifications of various clients

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

• At least two years of professional experience in audio-visual translation and subtitling
• Be a native speaker of Japanese
• Possess strong knowledge of English
• Experience with subtitling software (e.g. SST); having SST G1 is a plus but not mandatory
