About the role:
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer graduate who is a technically focussed and will report to our Associate of Mechanical and is based in our modern Sydney CBD office. As part of our Mechanical team, you will provide mechanical services including calculations, design and documentation through the project life cycle, as you deliver well-coordinated, client-centric and technical solutions.
Not only will you be part of a great team, you will have contact with and work alongside our Directors and Senior Leadership who are committed to the development of our people.
Salary for this role is $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 per annum plus super.
What you'll do:
- Provide efficient solutions and designs in line with client budget and expectations.
- Work with our other disciplines to coordinate and deliver efficient, buildable designs
- Use your highly developed and proactive nature to build and maintain relationships with designers, builders and other consultants.
- Work on some of the best workplace and commercial projects across Australia.
What you’ll need:
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.
Knowledge and skills:
- A relevant technical qualification (Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent).
- Understanding of the construction industry project phases and delivery methods.
- 2 plus years of delivering projects through the project life cycle in a professional engineering consultancy or equivalent.
- Experience in commercial and/or workplace fitout essential.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Proactive approach to projects with a can do attitude.
- Experience with heat load calculations for workplace fit out.
- Have used Camel heat load software previously (or willing to learn).
- A desire to continue to grow professionally.
- Identify with the DBS Vision and culture.
- Understanding of the construction industry project phases and delivery methods.
- Experience in commercial and/or workplace fit out.
- Problem solving skills and ethical judgement.
