Systems Engineer

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years IT engineering/operations experience (LAN & server administration, virtualization, backups systems, monitoring and alerting systems, storage device management)

• 3+ years of experience with provisioning and configuration resources in virtualized environments with Microsoft web and Microsoft app

• 3+ years of firewall administration (Fortinet is preferred)

• Hands-on experience with VMware, Azure, or AWS in private/hybrid cloud setups

• Experience supporting an enterprise level environment

• Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with database stacks

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an IT Systems Administrator / Engineer to design, implement, and maintain IT solutions that support both internal and external users. You’ll join a team responsible for managing data centers, cloud platforms, and IT infrastructure across 700+ locations nationwide. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with data center operations, Microsoft technologies, and cloud environments.

Day to Day:

• Engineer IT infrastructure solutions aligned with security and configuration standards

• Provision hardware and configure software to meet departmental needs securely

• Ensure reliable system performance across data centers and enterprise platforms

• Administer and maintain servers, storage, and devices with ongoing monitoring

• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support, resolving incidents and requests promptly

• Develop and maintain server/workstation images and templates
