About the role….
Reporting directly to the CFO/COO, you will lead the day-to-day Finance function across the Caruso's group of entities while providing accurate, timely and commercially focused financial information to support decision-making. You will oversee financial reporting, compliance, payroll, team leadership and continuous improvement initiatives as well as supporting the budgeting and forecasting process
Financial Leadership, Reporting & Business Performance
- Lead month-end reporting, reconciliations and financial reporting activities
- Deliver meaningful financial insights, analysis and recommendations to support decision-making
- Partner with business leaders to improve financial performance, accountability and commercial outcomes
- Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning processes
Financial Control, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards, taxation and statutory requirements
- Manage GST, PAYG, payroll tax, FBT, audit and reporting obligations
- Maintain strong financial controls, governance and risk management practices
- Oversee banking, treasury, insurance and cashflow management activities
Payroll & Finance Operations
- Oversee payroll operations and associated compliance requirements
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial transactions, reconciliations and reporting
- Manage debtor performance, working capital and day-to-day finance operations
- Drive operational excellence across finance processes and procedures
Systems, Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Lead finance systems optimisation, reporting enhancements and process improvements
- Identify and implement automation and AI opportunities across finance and administration functions
- Improve efficiency, scalability and reporting capabilities to support business growth
- Champion innovation and smarter ways of working across the organisation
Team Leadership & Capability Development
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing Finance team
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
- Build financial capability across the business through effective stakeholder engagement
- Contribute as a trusted member of the leadership team, supporting the continued growth of Caruso's Natural Health
About You…
You are a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with operational excellence. You'll bring:
- CA or CPA qualification
- Proven experience leading a finance function and team
- Strong financial reporting, tax, payroll and compliance knowledge
- Experience in FMCG, manufacturing or a similar commercial environment highly regarded
- Advanced Excel and financial systems capability (MYOB Exo experience advantageous)
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Interest in AI, automation and continuous improvement
